Health and the public sector

Demands for quality and accountability are increasing from the population and the public sector must continuously adapt in a variety of areas. Although there is considerable political disagreement about the need for restructuring in the public sector, customisation and privatisation of service delivery is a long-term trend.

The public sector is a priority area for BDO. Our expertise and experience is geared to support the development of the health care, federal and municipal sectors. Reforms and demands from users require stronger risk management and performance awareness than previously and BDO is following these changes closely.

BDO's public sector team has expertise in, among other things, auditing, tax and duty, accounting and payroll and consulting. Our services are aimed at control and management on the one hand, and organisational, quality and service development on the other. We wish to contribute to a public sector that delivers more services for the money and practises fair, efficient and good governance.
