One of our most important tasks as auditors is to have a thorough understanding of the client's activities and thereby be able to tailor our work to suit their specific needs and risk profiles.

Knowledge of our client´s activities, special-law and specific external conditions are crucial for completing a cost-efficient audit with a high level of quality, assuring that the regard for significant elements of risk are taken into consideration. We therefore constantly develop our methods of approach in adaptation to each specific business sector.

Auditing is all about trust. The user of the accounts must have confidence in the source of information, and responsible leaders must have confidence in the organization and that the established practice functions properly, ensuring   that the board and ownership receive financial information that is timely and correct.

Cooperation and communication are important key-factors in our audit. It´s crucial to establish a well functioning work climate between the auditing team and the administration, and at the same time maintaining an open and ongoing channel for communication between our audit partner and the board of our client.

BDO´s primary activity is targeting the bedrock of Norwegian industry and commerce. BDO considers the clients size, complexity and trade before putting together its team. Our clients therefore experience a higher contact  frequency with their auditor than what is common within the trade.
